About Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship

The Mo Ibrahim Foundation (MIF) was established in 2006 with a mission to enhance governance and leadership in Africa. This fellowship, in collaboration with Chatham House, provides selected candidates the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, conduct research, and expand their professional networks in international affairs.

Fellows engage in research work and contribute to Chatham House’s initiatives, gaining exposure to global policy discussions and key decision-making processes.

Eligibility Criteria

1.To qualify for the Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

2.Be a citizen of any African country (dual nationality including an African country is acceptable).

3.Hold a completed BA degree or equivalent. Have research experience in a relevant field.

4.Be in the early-to-mid-stage of their career, working in academia, NGOs, business, government, civil society, or media.

5.Show interest in international affairs, governance, and leadership. Be available to work full-time for the duration of the fellowship.
