Overcoming Adversity and Achieving Success

Mary’s academic journey began at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where she earned a National Diploma (ND) in Accountancy with Distinction in 2015. She then secured an internship with a prestigious organization, gaining valuable experience and setting her on the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Despite facing financial difficulties and personal losses, including the passing of her father, Mary remained committed to her studies. She juggled multiple challenges, including undergraduate stress, ICAN studies, and the COVID-19 pandemic, to achieve a perfect 5.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) and graduate as the Best Graduating Student of her department.
